You may call yourself King, but you don’t touch the real royals.
LeBron James, the undisputed king on the basketball court, got a little too cozy with Kate Middleton by strict royal standards at a Nets vs. Cavs game Tuesday.
Acting normally in a photo with the royals is a violation of the protocol, and you definitely don’t touch them unless they extend their arm to you, which is when you politely greet them.
Apparently, those rules don’t apply to James, who also gave the couple a teeny jersey with the name George written on the back for their son.
Kate Middleton, pregnant with their second child, luckily didn’t seem to mind. She properly handled the situation in line with her classy demeanor and character.
Prince William and Kate Middleton also met another power couple at the game, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who appeared to be well versed when it comes to meeting the royals.
