13. Ice Cube

O’Shea Jackson, better known by his stage name Ice Cube, is another famous person who identifies as Muslim, although such identification may not be so obvious unless you follow his body of work.

Like most of the other individuals on our list, Ice Cube converted to Islam in the ’90s and became a prominent member of the Nation of Islam, even including a message on his album “Death Certificate” which read, “The best place for a young black male or female is the Nation of Islam”.

The story of Ice Cube’s religious beliefs is slightly different now, as the rapper claims he was never a member of the Nation of Islam and was only concerned with the spiritual aspect of the religion.
