6. Gwen Stefani

Before we got to know her as the “Hollaback Girl,” pop-star Gwen Stefani actually launched her career in music in a place where you would least expect it – the Dairy Queen.

As the story goes, Gwen was serving up ice cream back when she was a senior in high school, while her older brother Eric Stefani had the floor-scrubbing job.

While working countless hours at the Dairy Queen, Eric, Gwen, and fellow DQ worker John Spence came up with the band No Doubt.

One might say Gwen Stefani had a pretty rough start, but if you add some positivity to it, she kind of owes her music and fashion success to her first job at DQ.
