2006 was apparently a great year for celebrities to come out of the closet.

Like Neil Patrick Harris, the N Sync member Lance Bass decided to let the world know that he is a homosexual via the People magazine.

In truth, Bass avoided coming out for years despite the constant rumors about him being gay. According to him, this was because the singer was afraid that a thing like this might ruin his career.

Once he came out, the singer said: “The main reason I wanted to speak my mind was that the rumors really were starting to affect my daily life. Now it feels like it’s on my terms.” As if his constant visits to gay bars weren’t clue enough.
