Even though Jodie Foster has been a successful actress since the late ‘70s, her sexual orientation was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in Hollywood.

Speculations on whether the famous actress was actually lesbian have been circling around for years, but it wasn’t until the 2012 Golden Globe Awards that we had unofficial confirmation of this.

While talking about her movie “The Beaver,” comedian Ricky Gervais commented: “I haven’t seen it myself. I’ve spoken to a lot of guys – they haven’t seen it either but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.”

When Foster officially came out in 2013, nobody was surprised.
