Wanda Sykes has stated at one point that he comes from quit a conservative family, so no wonder she tried her best not show her homosexuality and her family is probably the biggest reasons why it took her so long to publicly come out.

The actress said she knew from a very young age that she was attracted to women rather than men, but that didn’t stop her from marrying a record producer, David Hall, during the early ‘90s.

As soon as their marriage ended in 1998, she started dating women, however, it wasn’t until 2008 that Sykes publicly came out of the proverbial closet, and soon after she married her longtime partner, Alex. Same year Alex gave birth to a pair of fraternal twins, daughter Olivia Lou and son Lucas Claude.
