7. Anthony Perkins

Anthony is best known for his role as Norman Bates, the deranged hotel proprietor in Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece thriller “Psycho.”

The actor was quite the heartthrob back in the day, and we mean both ways.

He once said he felt too nervous around women, and resisted actresses Rhonda Fleming, Jane Fonda, Maureen O’Hara and Brigitte Bardot, who all had tried to seduce him during his youth.

He was a very shy actor, especially in women’s company, and according his biographer Charles Winecoff, he had many affairs with men: Christopher Makos, actor Tab Hunter, dancer Rudolf Nureyev, composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim, actor Nick Adams, and dancer-choreographer Grover Dale, they were all his lovers, however in 1973 Anthony decided to marry Berenson Perkins with whom he had two sons.
