Congratulations are in order, since the international pop singer Mariah Carey is engaged to her boyfriend, James Packer.

The joyous news was confirmed by the diva’s representative, who stated that the beautiful couple got engaged on Thursday, January 21st.

The famed performer and the 48-year-old Australian billionaire businessman have been dating under a year. They were first spotted together in June 2015, during a romantic getaway.

This will be Carey’s third marriage. She was previously married to America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, from which she separated in August 2014.

The divorce was finalized in January last year, and the former couple shares two children together – 4-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. Before Cannon, who recently stated that he doubts he will ever marry again, the diva was married to her manager Tommy Motola for five years.
