Reports have surfaced that Scarlett Johansson has married Romain Dauriac, her French journalist beau, on October 1, at a ranch in Philipsburg, Mont. The nuptials came only a few weeks after the birth of their daughter Rose Dorothy in September.

The Avengers star and her partner kept the wedding a secret because they both wanted privacy. The wedding took place at a remote location in the US, instead of Dauriac’s native Paris, as was first speculated.

Media reports started swirling when the 30-year-old actress was spotted at the 2nd Annual Champions of Rockaway Hurricane Sandy Benefit in New York City with a diamond band on her right hand.

The couple, who have yet to confirm their “I dos”, started dating in 2012, a year after Johansson’s 3-year marriage to Ryan Reynolds ended. He has been married to Blake Lively since 2012.

Scarlett gave birth to her first child two months ago and is now asking the public for privacy as she and her new husband wish to raise their child out of the spotlight.
