Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is a proud first-time father for almost a month now. So how come we still don’t know what’s the name of his daughter?

But it seems like Reynolds is ready to break all rumors and set the record straight about that, as he recently said some pretty interesting things regarding the name of the child he has with Blake Lively.

As far as rumors go, we’ve been told that the couple named their daughter Violet. But while talking to USA Today, Reynolds denied that in his own witty way.

Here’s what the star of “Smokin’ Aces” had to say: “No, that’s not the name. I don’t want to get into that but I don’t know where that came from.”

While he didn’t reveal his child’s name, the actor hinted something about it while talking to Canada’s eTalk back in October last year: “I don’t want a name that’s anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y. So I’m going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds…that’s if it’s a girl.”

And there you have it. We still don’t know what name the couple gave to their firstborn, but we know for sure it’s not Violet and that it won’t be something like North West.
