Yup, it’s already been a whole year since Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have spawned their beautiful little baby girl, and now these two Hollywood knockouts have thrown a super private birthday party for their daughter Esmeralda.

According to US Weekly, the fresh parents invited no more than 20 friends and family members for Esmeralda’s big day that was marked by a simple and quite private gathering. “It was a quiet and casual party, not the typical celebrity 1st birthday blowout with vendors and other celebrity guests.

It looked like it was just their simple style and more about family and close friends coming together to celebrate Esmeralda,” a source said for the magazine.

The insider also said that the guests were quite generous when it comes to the presents for little Esmeralda.

“Some people bought wrapped gifts, including clothes and toys. One guest arrived carrying a rocking horse, and another had colorful plastic balls to fill a ball pit.”

Ryan’s sister, Mandi, made a nice birthday cake for her niece, while Eva’s family arrived early to the ‘crime scene’ in order to help set up the whole event.

In a recent interview with Glam Belleza Latina, the actress revealed that her husband likes to sing to his daughter, which means the whole gang probably sang the “Happy Birthday” song to little Esmeralda.

“Ryan sings to the baby. He loves it. Sometimes he’ll make up his own songs and include her name in them. It’s very sweet,” Eva said in the interview.
