The most sad and angry people are not those who show it the most, but those who don’t. The latest proof of that comes from actress Jennifer Aniston, who just revealed the truth about the years she spent in therapy while trying to fix her anger issues.

Passive-Aggressive?

Who would have thought that the “Friends” star, the one who often made us laugh, had to go to anger management?

Too add insult to injury, Aniston also admits that she’s a control freak, which makes the picture everyone had about this funny lady a bit crooked.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress mentioned two important people to this story – her colleague and then partner Brad Pitt, and her amazing therapist who, unfortunately, passed away.

Said Aniston: “It was at a crazy time, right when we were going through our divorce and everything. But I learned so much in the four years I worked with her, that when she did pass away I remember thinking, ‘Wow, everything that we talked about and discussed, it’s allowed me to be really peaceful about it all.’”

A Life Lesson

As the Golden Globe nominee claims, her therapy sessions revolved around not allowing herself to bottle her anger up in unhealthy ways. And it’s thanks to those sessions that Aniston now has a healthier view of things and appropriate communication skills.

While addressing meditation, Jennifer said: “I’m on a really good, personal, strict regime. These days, I’ve been doing it every day. I have a little place at home, and I do it for about 20 minutes, at different times, usually right after a cup of coffee and before the chaos starts.”

Perhaps we could all learn something from the “Bruce Almighty” star – never push your stress down, or you’ll end up miserable and hazardous to everyone you come across.
