Just when we thought that the famous artist was all out of surprises, he pulls another one, and for a good cause.
The eclectic actor and future stage director dropped his pants Sunday night at charity event called “Broadway Bares: Rock Hard”. The event raised 1,386,105 dollars for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS foundations.
Currently, Franco is starring on Broadway in a revival of John Steibeck’s “Of Mice And Men” alongside Chris O’Dowd and Leighton Meester.
He added that he’d been in movies like “Milk” and “127 Hours,” but it wasn’t until he mentioned his social media presence that the host recognized him. “I’ve got like 2 million followers on Instagram,” he said. “I do topless selfies.”
When the artist insisted to go backstage, the host called “code red,” and said he needed a full body search. That’s when Del Rio appeared on stage to conduct the provocative search. “Face the wall,” she yelled, while the host added, “spread ’em!”
Franco listened and did as he was told. Del Rio put on plastic gloves. “And just so you know, Franco, this won’t be as painful as you hosting the Oscars,” Del Rio joked.
About a month ago, Franco posted a photo of himself wearing only boxers which he pushed down quite a bit. Recently, he has painted his pal Seth Rogen naked in a series of graphic portraits and he also indicated ‘the art’ would be shown at a Los Angeles or New York gallery.
Even though the ‘butt-naked’ moment from the charity event was shared on Instagram by some attendees, Franco decided not to post it on his own page. Maybe he’s saving it for the art show.
