Two Yorkshire terriers – Boo and Pistol – owned by Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard could be euthanized unless they are removed from Australia by Saturday.

Depp and Heard failed to report the dogs to customs officials when they flew in to Queensland on the actor’s private jet. Due to Australia’s strict quarantine rules, the dogs face euthanasia.

Depp and Heard have 50 hours left to fly the dogs out of Australia. Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has made it clear the laws apply to everyone.

“Mr Depp has to either take his dogs back to California or we’re going to have to euthanize them,” Joyce said on Thursday.

“If we start letting movie stars — even though they’ve been the sexiest man alive twice — to come into our nation [and break the laws], then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody?”

“It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States,” Joyce concluded.

The dogs were discovered when their groomers posted pictures of Boo and Pistol on Facebook.
