Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have been married for two years, but decided to split and just remain friends. The interesting fact is that Halle is apparently taking a break from the whole dating thing and is focusing on herself.

The former duo separated back in October, and the actress is said to be “doing ok” but still “not dating”, as the source close to Halle revealed to People magazine.

Sources also say that divorce proceedings between the pair are continuing to go smoothly and the former couple remains amicable.

Olivier Follows Suit

As far as Olivier is concerned, he is also taking a break from the dating scene as he is still struck by the divorce.

“He is still very disappointed about the divorce,” Olivier’s friend told People.

“The divorce proceedings have been quiet, but they are still working out the divorce details, and there is no fighting. Olivier is spending as much time with Maceo as possible.” Maceo is, of course, their two-year-old son.

The former couple announced their split via a joint statement, saying: “We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son.”

In a recent interview for Extra, Halle said she was doing her best to move on.

“I’m doing okay, I really am. I keep pushing and I’m really happy to be here. Because when you’re going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that’s always the best remedy for any situation that you’d rather not be dealing with.”
