Nicole’s Father, Dr Anthony Kidman, passed away 4 days ago, and Nicole rushed back in her native country on Sunday with her husband Keith Urban and the couple’s two daughters Sunday Rose, and Faith, to make preparations for the funeral of her late father.

Dr Anthony Kidman, also known as Tony, had been visiting his younger daughter Antonia in Singapore, where she is based and unexpectedly collapsed and died minutes after his routine morning exercise.

A sad trip back to Hometown

It was reported that Nicole immediately flew back to Sydney so the actress could be with her mother. Antonia also came from Singapore with her husband Craig Marran and their children.

When the news about Tony’s death surfaced, Nicole’s official publicist, Wendy Day, confirmed the tragic news.

“The family is in shock and is grieving. I think that some time and privacy is needed to deal with this shock and tragedy,” Wendy reported.

It is believed that Nicole’s father suffered a heart attack, however the official cause of death is yet to be revealed. Tony was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Singapore, but was pronounced dead a short while later.

Nicole’s husband Keith is supportive

The country musician decided to cancel his gig in California when he received the tragic news of his father-in-law’s passing. Keith immediately flew to Sidney with his private plane to be at his wife’s side.

“I’m so very sorry that I cannot perform this weekend,” Keith apologized to his fans via his Facebook page. “We are in a deep state of grief at the passing of Nic’s Father and are heading to Australia to be with family. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their love, prayers and support through this devastating loss. – KU.”
