The beautiful actress of Cuban origin, Eva Mendes, has finally broken silence about what it is like to be a mother. Eva spoke about how exactly her life has changed after she welcomed her baby girl, Esmeralda.

I’m Completely Exhausted

The “2 Fast 2 Furious” star admitted she didn’t really expect to have ‘wild nights’ after becoming a mother. “I’m completely exhausted. I thought my wild nights were over but there are some of the wildest nights I’ve ever had,“ Eva laughed.

Beloved Esmeralda

The actress also revealed the interesting story behind Esmeralda’s name. It appears that both Ryan and Eva are huge fans of Victor Hugo.

“We both love the Esmeralda character from the Victor Hugo novel “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” and just think it is a beautiful name. Her middle is Amada, which was my grandmother’s name. It means beloved in Spanish. We were really excited about naming her,” Eva explained.

Relatives to the Rescue

Though the couple is trying their best to raise their little girl on their, the 40-year-old Eva admitted that sometimes they simply couldn’t do without the help from their mothers and siblings.

“I have eight nieces and nephews, so my brother and sisters know a thing or two about what to expect when you’re expecting. I have a very tight-knit family and the pregnancy brought us even closer together.”

“I try not to google too many things because it’s frightening. But I do go to Babycenter.com and read the comments sections from other mothers because I find so much solace in that. Just knowing that I’m not alone out there and that other mums have gone through the same thing can at least get me through the night,” said Eva.

We wish them all the best in their future endeavors as young parents, but we’re sure Ryan and Eva will make excellent mom and dad.
