David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have quietly divorced.
The Californication star, David Duchovny is said to have filed for divorce back in June, and the two actors settled the terms of the divorce quietly and between themselves. The actor cited an “irretrievable breakdown of the relationship.”
On again, off again
David and Tea met back in 1997 and got married after only eight weeks of dating, only to split 11 years later, in 2008.
During their brief breakup, Duchovny was known to have been treated for sex addiction. The couple reunited after months apart, but split again in 2011.
The couple has reportedly been seen enjoying a beach day together in June, the same month Duchovny filed the divorce papers.
What happens next?
The Golden Globe-winning “X-Files” actor and Tea have two children together – Kyd Miller, 12, and Madelaine West, 15. Both parents will share legal custody, but Leoni will have primary physical custody of the two kids.
Duchovny, whose Showtime series “Californication” finished its seven-season run in late June, will reportedly have to pay $40,000 monthly in spousal support and $8,333 a month in child support, as well as further expenses covering summer camp, private school and college.
The actor’s manager refused to comment on the subject matter. More to come. Stay tuned.
