The sad incident, which led to an untimely death of a driver, will now be dealt with officially by a district attorney.
Jenner was involved in a fatal car crash in the beginning of February, when her Cadillac Escalade crashed into a Lexus in front of it, which sent the Lexus into the path of an oncoming Hummer. That tragic occurrence led to the death of the Lexus, Kim Howe.
Richard Curry, the Sheriff’s Department’s Detective, recently revealed that Jenner was driving at an unsafe speed for the conditions, even though it was under the speed limit. Curry and the other detectives presented their case findings to D.A. prosecutors, who now have the tough job of determining whether to charge Jenner with manslaughter, which carries a jail sentence of up to a year. However, it’s highly unlikely that the reality persona will actually spend time behind bars.
Jenner spoke about the accident on several occasions, and released a statement at the time, saying that her “heart and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in that terrible accident.”
As there were no alcohol or drug levels involved in the tragic incident, a low level charge is anticipated. Legal experts explained that “anyone could get into that situation,” and that it’s “just unsafe driving.” However, the decision on the charge against the 65-year-old celeb is yet to be made.
