Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beats welcome their second child on Saturday, as the singer gives birth to a healthy baby boy Genesis Ali Dean.
The baby was born at 1:52 a.m., and weighs 6 pounds, 5 ounces. This is the second boy for Keys and Beats, who already have a 3-year old son, Egypt.
Egypt has been preparing to be a big brother. “He’s so excited,” Alicia said in November. “He comes up and kisses the belly all the time, and he’s always asking, ‘Mommy, can the baby be in the bed with me?’ I’m like, ‘Well, not at the beginning.'”
The singer announced her pregnancy in July and in September posed nude for the “We Are Here” campaign, aimed at “creating the change we all want to see in the world”.
Keys says motherhood has given her more fearlessness and a better understanding of what she believes in.
We wish the happy family all the best!
