9. Brooke Shields

Another unlikely Ivy League graduate, Brooke Shields has a degree in French Literature, which she earned at Princeton University in 1987.

Dubbed a ‘freeloader’ by other students, Brooke soon proved them wrong by acing a psychology exam when only 2 other people got As.

Shields explained her early days at the university and how she turned the situation around to PEOPLE magazine: “Three got A’s, and I was one of them. They post grades at Princeton, so everyone saw it, and it gave me credibility. After that everyone wanted my notes.”

Shields also owes her success to her highly ambitious mother who pushed young Brooke into show business at the age of 5.
