Unfortunately to all Friends fans out there, and we know there’s A LOT of you, Monica Geller and Chandler Bing aren’t together in real life as well.

All the popular social media platforms were flooded a couple of days ago when the Twitter post emerged showing Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry having a cosy lunch together.

The trick was that Matthey was captured staring at Courteney’s eyes much like Chandler starred into Monica’s during the last seasons of the famous sitcom.

This photo caused quite a stir among the Twitter users when one Twitter user posted a juxtaposed picture of the on-screen couple in which you can clearly see Matthew gazing affectionately at Courtney, just like Chandler gazed at Monica.

“Matthew looks at Courteney the same way chandler looks at Monica and i don’t know what to do with myself,” the caption read.

Courteney did recently call off her engagement with the Snow Patrol rocker, Johnny McDaid, but it appears that the lunch with Matthew was nothing more than a friendly reunion.

Monica and Johnny decided to part ways after their a year-and-a-half long relationship and called off their wedding, in which Ed Sheeran was set to sing, by the way.

Too bad.
