Whitney Houston’s sudden death shook the public back in 2012 when the singer was found overdosed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at the age of 48. Now, her and Bobby Brown’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown died after a six-months-long coma, aged 22.

In January this year, Bobbi Kristina was found in Atlanta, submerged in a bathtub and unresponsive. She was in a coma since then, until she passed away on Sunday in Duluth, Georgia.

The Brown family representative, Kristen Foster, said: “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

News of Bobbi Kristina’s death cause quite a stir on the social media as well, as celebs like Missy Elliot and Oprah Winfrey gave their condolences to the family on Twitter.

At the moment, it’s unclear what the actual cause of Bobbi Kristina’s “drowning” was, but the authorities have said that they will be doing an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
