When it comes to celebrity ex’s, it has become a ritual for them to throw mud at each other after the breakup. Sure, the fans are entertained, but isn’t it better when someone has something nice to say about his ex?
The famous actor couple split up last year after 8 years of marriage, and since then neither of them shared any thoughts on the breakup. That is, until now.
During the Banderas’ recent appearance on Spanish TV show “El Hormiguero,” he was promoting his new sci-fi movie “Autómata,” which also features his ex wife, Melanie Griffith.
At some point, the Spanish actor just started talking about his relationship with Griffith and how it all ended.
Said Banderas: “It’s been an intense year… Life goes on. I admire and respect Melanie first and foremost as a great actress. I have always said that. That’s why she is in the movie. And she’s also the person that I loved, that I love, and will always love.”
A few months after his marriage with Melanie Griffith was officially over, pictures of Banderas and Nicole Kimpel, a Dutch investment consultant, started popping up. Antonio and his 20-years-younger lady have been spotted all over the globe, but it seems like Zorro wants to take things slow.
In an interview with The Olive Press, Banderas said: “We are in the process of getting to know each other. She is shy and doesn’t have anything to do with my work, which is no bad thing.”
Here’s hoping that the “Puss in Boots” star has a wonderful relationship with his new beauty.
