Christian Bale has recently opened up on his emotions about someone else playing the famous comic hero Batman and admitted he was pretty shocked when he heard that Ben Affleck was taking over the role.
Stunned & Jealous
Though British actor decided to step back from the coveted role after 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises,” Bale said he was stunned and also a little jealous when he heard that Ben Affleck had been chosen for the upcoming hit spin off “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
“When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour,” Christian admitted in an interview with Empire magazine. “But I’m 40. The fact that I’m jealous of someone else playing Batman… I think I should have gotten over it by now.”
Bale Is a Professional Nevertheless
“I haven’t spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine that he is doing everything he can to avoid anything that I did,” said Bale.
Christian’s next appearance is in the biblical epic “Exodus: Gods and Kings,” scheduled for December 12th, where he will be depicting Moses. The promising movie cast also reads names like: Aaron Paul, Joel Edgerton, Ben Kingsley and Sigourney Weaver.
