7. Oprah Winfrey Had A Child At The Age of 14

Oprah Winfrey gave birth to a child when she was only 14 years old.

When her mother found out Oprah was pregnant, she sent her to Nashville to live with her dad, who didn’t know his daughter was pregnant. The child died right after birth, and it wasn’t even brought back home from the hospital.

At the time, nobody knew the 14-year-old Winfrey had ever been pregnant except her immediate family. As a confused teenager, Oprah thought she was going to have to kill herself because having a baby out of wedlock was unacceptable at the time.

She now considers the baby’s death her second chance in life, giving her the opportunity to go back to school without anyone knowing what happened.
