7. Jordana Brewster
Her mother Maria Joao is a former swimsuit model from Brazil who appeared on the 1978 cover of Sports Illustrated, and her father Alden Brewster is an American investment banker. Quite a pedigree.
Jordana moved a lot with her family when she was younger. First to England then Brazil and finally they settled in Manhattan, New York City, where she studied at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from the Professional Children’s School.
She eventually graduated from prestigious Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut with a B.A. in English. When asked about her youth and how she handled all the moving from one city to another, Jordana said:
“I think that unless you grew up in New York or Chicago or Los Angeles, you’re sheltered. What I love about New York is that everyone is in their own world. It’s the opposite of L.A. – there, everyone is looking outside of themselves to see who’s next to them. What’s great about New York is that you get to be anonymous.”
