6. Mr. T

We pity the fool that thought Mr. T was going to have a successful career as an actor! But seriously, Laurence Tureaud, a.k.a. Mr. T, did have quite a good run in the late 80s and early 90s.

His career reached its peak while he was playing Sgt. Baracus in the TV show “The A-Team.” After that, his only notable role was that of Stallone’s rival in “Rocky III.”

Despite his signature Mohawk hairdo and his recognizable voice, Mr. T had to take a break from acting due to being diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma.

Nowadays, Tureaud can be seen in commercials every now and then. Once a hard-ass, now a nearly forgotten piece of history.
