15. Toni Braxton
Becoming popular in the beginning of the 1990s, Braxton quickly earned her status of an R&B icon and became one of the best-selling female artists of the 1990s decade.
You must be wondering how an R&B icon of such fame and success managed to lose her all of her fortune, right? Well, it appears that you can’t go running around spending huge amounts of money while your albums are not selling as you expected and hoped.
The singer declared bankruptcy twice and in 2012 and faced allegations of bankruptcy fraud. Braxton first declared in 1998, citing that she wasn’t earning enough money when it came to her tours. She later filed Chapter 7 in 2010. At that time, it was stated that her extravagant lifestyle and lagging album sales were to blame. Two years ago, Toni Braxton was also accused of bankruptcy fraud after paying back her ex $53,490 to allegedly avoid debt to creditors.
We sure hope the famous R&B star will manage to find the solutions for her financial troubles and won’t go broke again. Maybe she should write a new song and name it “Un-Broke My Heart”. That might help.
