11. Kate Mulgrew

Older fans know Kate for her roles on “Star Trek: Voyager” as the famous Captain Kathryn Janeway, while younger audiences probably know her via popular comedy-drama series “Orange Is the New Black”, but what most of you don’t know is that the actress gave her daughter up for adoption back in 1977.

She was 22 years old and at the time she was against the prospect of abortion, but she also couldn’t keep her child. This bind prompted Kate to give up her child three days after giving birth.

Mulgrew said she never stopped thinking about her daughter, and after more than two decades of tracking, the actress finally managed to reunite with her daughter Danielle.
