3. Brad Pitt
He had ten children – eight of them by Eleanor of Aquitaine. Henry II’s domain stretched from Scotland to the Pyrenees. Regarded as one of the strongest medieval rulers, Henry II did not particularly enjoy much family camaraderie. In fact, his last days were spent in war with his own sons.
There was considerable fighting over inheritance during his lifetime.
Even though the empire Henry II began to collapse after his death, he is credited for developing the basis for English Common Law. During his life and later by historians, Henry II was perceived as ruthless yet largely successful when it came to meeting his goals.
That Pitt is connected to such an illustrious king is not too surprising as he himself is certainly one of Hollywood’s most dashing princes. Like his distant ancestor, Pitt spends a considerable amount of time in France with his family and partner Angelina Jolie. Who knows – perhaps he’ll even play his ancestor in a film some day!
