11. Ralph and Joseph Fiennes

These leading actors, brothers, are also related to James II of Scotland who reigned from 1437 to 1460. A member of the House of Stewart, James inherited the throne after his father was assassinated. James himself died during his Siege of Roxburgh Castle when a canon exploded killing him.

As illustrious Hollywood figures themselves, both brothers have played historic characters, but not their famous relative; at least not yet!

James II was known for his fiery temper which is contrary to the Fiennes brothers who are known for their smooth and charismatic demeanors. Interestingly, both brothers have played roles in the English government.

Ralph Fiennes has taken over as M in the James Bond series films and Joseph Fiennes played Elizabeth I’s love interest opposite a young Cate Blanchett. These brothers are Hollywood favorites and it’s not a huge surprise that they also have such well-connected bloodlines.

If you’ve never seen them act before, be sure to see them in some of their hit roles. Check out films like “Shakespeare in Love” and “The English Patient.” These boys may be connected to the Scottish throne of old, but they are certainly two of Hollywood’s favorites and most talented stars.
