8. The Hangover (2009)
After all, the movie is about three adult men who decide to act like teenagers in Las Vegas while searching for their lost friend.
After two days of searching for their friend they find him…on the roof of their hotel. How did he get there?
One of the three that went in search of him had dragged his mattress out there while he slept on it. It was meant to be a practical joke. So what is the problem here?
No matter how drunk or how stupid you are, if you have the presence of mind to drag a mattress up onto the roof of a hotel, then you probably have the presence of mind to remember that you did so.
The idea of the lost friend is necessary for the hijinks in the film, but it seems the writers couldn’t come up with a better reason for the friend to be missing than a practical joke that everyone conveniently forgot about.
To be frank, the movie had a lot of nonsense in it and so the ending isn’t all that offensive. If the writers just could have come up with a better reason for the friend to be missing, then it all might have come together a little better in the end.
