6. Hilary Swank

Since this actress is known for her role as an inspiration high school teacher in Freedom Writers, you would probably think that she has experience in the field. Alas, that is not the case.

The incredibly talented Hilary Swank never finished high school, because she dropped out of it. When she was a student in South Pasadena High School in California, Swank ditched her books to pursue acting.

Although the actress stated on numerous occasions that she’s “proud to say that she’s a high school dropout,” she admits that she’s not proud that that’s something that happened.

Her decision was, obviously, not a bad one, as she was making her film debut in Buffy The Vampire Slayer at the age of 18, while her former peers were dancing the night away at prom.
