We live in a truly horrid world sometimes, and nothing proves that more than the existence of pedophilia and with it child pornography.

Famed KISS bassist and entrepreneur Gene Simmons and his family have been going through a troubling situation lately, as a search warrant has been served for their Los Angeles homes for child pornography.

It was confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department that no one from the Simmons family has been suspected of this hideous crime.

In a statement for the media, an LAPD official said that neither Gene nor any member of his family is a person of interest in the investigation, and that they’re “fully cooperating with the investigation.” The official also said that they’ve asked the Simmons family to avoid any further public discussions about the investigation, so it would not get compromised.

Meanwhile, the representative of the famed musician’s family revealed only that authorities “visited Mr. and Mrs. Simmons at their home to discuss a crime that may have occurred on their property last year.” At that time, the 65-year-old KISS cofounder was away on tour with the band.

Apart from being known as a musician and an entrepreneur, Gene has also starred on a reality TV show called Gene Simmons Family jewels, which followed him, his ex-model wife Shannon, and their children, Nick and Sophie.
